Upgrading and downgrading the WS5000 Series Switch is possible only on the WS5000 platform. Before
upgrading or downgrading any system, save a copy of the system configuration to an FTP or TFTP system.
Possible upgrade issues are:

1.5.2 After Upgrade, Configuration Settings Revert to Defaults
Configuration settings revert to defaults after an upgrade. The following configuration settings are saved
during an upgrade:
•
Kerberos
•
DHCP
•
SNMP (clients and traps)
•
Syslog
•
Autoinstall Status
•
Service Mode password
•
Files: hosts, resolv.conf, rc.network, inetd.conf
•
Database tables and records.
All other configuration settings are lost and need to be restored after an upgrade.
Turn "auto-revert" setting off to see if this is causing the problem.
