Test result announcement after a test
In the acoustic mode, when a test result is displayed following a blood glucose test, the meter also
announces it as a series of beeps. The test result is not announced as an entity, but is broken down into
individual digits.
Examples:
The test result 7.6 mmol/L is announced as 0 – 7 – decimal point – 6.
Each digit is represented by the corresponding number of beep tones, for example, 4 beep tones for the
number 4 (       ). Zero is represented by 1 long beep tone (
The decimal point of a test result is announced by 1 very short beep tone ( ).
Test results which are lower than 0.6 mmol/L and are displayed as
0 – 0 – decimal point – 0.
