Preparation

Remove the finger pricker from
the meter.
Cleaning

Slightly dampen a cloth with
water.
Disinfecting

Dampen a cloth well with 70 %
isopropanol.
Cleaning the blood glucose monitoring system

Remove the cap from the finger
pricker.

Wipe the finger pricker and the
cap thoroughly; the finger pricker
from the outside only and the
cap from the outside and the
inside.

Wipe the finger pricker and the
cap thoroughly for 2 minutes
each; the finger pricker from the
outside only and the cap from
the outside and the inside.
Place the cap back on again.

Remove the lancet drum from
the finger pricker.

Dry the finger pricker and cap
with a dry cloth.

Wrap the whole finger pricker in
the cloth.
Leave the finger pricker wrapped
up for 8 minutes.
Unwrap the finger pricker and let
it dry in the air.
