Minimum Vent Pipe Shield – Used for Minimum Vent Applications Only
The minimum vent pipe shield is required when running minimum vent configurations (see page 27). The
shield is shipped with the fireplace and must be installed as shown below.
ASSEMBLY: Assemble the top, bottom, and wings as shown in the illustration below (use the included screws).
FRAMING NOTE: When using the minimum vent configuration, you must put a firestop (and framing) to the side
of the fireplace opening where the vent is routed. This framing (and firestop) is used to support the pipe shield.
Secure the pipe shield to the vent with the included screws (use the 6 brackets). Make sure the pipe is placed so it
protrudes over the elbow as shown below.

Attach the pipe shield
