Vent Clearances when Venting Vertically

The framing for this fireplace may interfere with the vent clearances when the vent is routed vertically. The
installer must carefully plan the installation to allow for proper vent clearances in the area directly above the
fireplace enclosure. The illustration below details this area.

If using paired headers, the vent
will not meet clearances. In this
configuration, the vent is only 0.5"
from the header (1" is required).
With a single header, the vent will
meet clearances (approx. 2" gap).
