Not Found PLU function

The "Not Found PLU" feature is used when a new item which is not yet been programmed is
registered. When the operator decided to registered that item, choices between Quick Entry, input
the price of the item and assign it the same descriptor and properties of another PLU, or Detail Entry,
enter the descriptor and tax status independently are available. This provides a simple mechanism for
building a PLU file.
Program descriptions by typing description on the alpha keyboard overlay is default. To
program description by three digit character codes, you must select 'No' in system option #31-1 (See
"System Option Programming). Also see Descriptor Programming Methods for Alpha Overlay
and/or Descriptor Code Table.

Quick Entry

1. After scanning or entering a PLU not in the PLU file, NOT FOUND PLU STOP:0
SAVE:1 appears on display, press 1 to start Not Found PLU Entry Procedure (or press 0
to Stop (discard the registration of the item)).
2. The "INPUT PRICE PRESS X/TIME key" appears on display, input the price then
press X/TIME key. Do not use the decimal key.
NOTE: Despite the Price Level setting in S-Mode, MEMORY ALLOCATION -> 7.

The "SELECT COPY PLU or PRESS PLU key" appears on display, to

4. The new item is created and registered as the selected product.
