The power pruner is not delivered filled with saw chain
adhering oil.
Never operate the power pruner without functioning
chain lubrication. Any use without chain saw oil may
result in damage of the chain saw and guide bar.
The durability and cutting power of the chain depends on the
optimal lubrication. During operation the saw chain is
automatically wetted with oil.

Stop the engine and wear protective gloves.
Avoid eye and skin contact.
Put the power pruner on a suitable base.
Unscrew the oil tank lock (59).
Fill the oil tank with bio-degradable chainsaw oil (order no.
400144). For easier filling use a funnel.
When filling observe that no dirt reaches the oil tank.
Screw on the oil tank lock again.
Never use recycled oil or used oil. The guarantee expires
when using oil which is not allowed for saw chains.

Never operate the power pruner without functioning

chain lubrication.

Check the function of the automatic chain lubrication by
switching on the power pruner and holding it with the spike in
direction of a carton or paper on the ground.
Do not get in contact with the ground with the chain. Keep
a safe distance of 20 cm.
If an increasing oil track is caused when checking it the oil
automatic works faultless.
If there is no oil track despite full oil tank
clean the oil flow canal (h) and clean the upper chain
clamping boring (g)
adjust the chain lubrication as described under
"
Adjusting the chain lubrication".

You may not start to operate the machine until you
have read these operating instructions, observed all the
instructions given and completely and properly assembled
the machine!
Before each use, check
- the machine for possible damage:
- loose fastenings
Make sure that the ON/OFF switch, the throttle lock-out
switch, the throttle trigger and the machine properly work.
The engine of the machine is supplied without gasoline
and oil in it. Fuel the device as described under "Fuelling".

This machine is equipped with a centrifugal clutch. The
cutting tool starts rotating with idle speed after starting.
Place the machine on a solid ground for starting. Firmly hold
the machine and make sure that neither the cutting tool nor
the throttle lever come into contact with fixed objects.
Always keep your hands and feet at a safe distance to the
cutting tool.
Put the machine on the ground.
Have a safe standing position.
Make sure that the cutting tool has no contact with the
ground.

Firmly press on the fuel pump (11) several times until
petrol (gasoline)/foam is visible in the priming pump.
Put the choke lever (12) to the position
Put the ON/OFF switch (10) to
Press the throttle lock-out switch (8) and operate the throttle
trigger (9) at the same time.
Grasp the cranking handle (13) and slowly pull the
cranking rope until a resistance is felt. Then, pull quickly and
firmly.
Do not fully pull out the cranking rope and slowly
guide the cranking handle back to make sure that
the cranking rope is correctly wound up.
Repeat this operation until the engine starts.
Put the choke lever (12) to the position
engine has started.
The engine will idle when you release the throttle
trigger.
