Switching Between Service Providers

NOTE
If the ET1N2 has an ATT SIM card installed, power off the ET1N2, remove the SIM card and then turn the
ET1N2 back on before switching to another network.
An ET1N2 can be activated on different networks. To change to another network:
Touch
> Settings > Wireless & networks.
1.
Touch Mobile networks > Technology preferences > Network mode.
2.
Touch Verizon, Sprint, N America (all GSM network carriers in North America) or Global (all GSM
3.
network carriers outside of North America).
The ET1N2 switches the modem firmware and connects to the network.
4.

Configuration

The user can configure various data options for WAN connectivity.

Disable Data When Roaming

To prevent the ET1N2 from transmitting data over other carriers' mobile networks when leaving an area that is
covered by the carrier's networks. This is useful for controlling expenses if the service plan does not include
data roaming.
Touch Home >
1.
Touch Wireless & networks > Mobile networks.
2.
Un-check Data roaming.
3.
With Data roaming disabled, the user can still transmit data with a Wi-Fi connection.
NOTE

Limit Data Connection to 2G Networks

This feature is only available when Global is selected in the Network Mode option.
NOTE
Extend the battery life by limiting the data connections to 2G networks (GPRS or EDGE). When connected to a
2G network, the user may want to postpone activities that transmit a lot of data, such as sending, uploading, or
downloading pictures or video, until they are connected to a faster mobile or other wireless network.
Touch Home >
1.
Touch Wireless & networks > Mobile networks.
2.
Check Use only 2G networks.
3.
> Settings.
> Settings.
