switch to the forward position. If you turn on the washdown pump switch and you do not feel pressure,
the seacock may not be open. Verify that the seacock is open and depress the switch again. When not
in use, the washdown switch should be left in the off (down or aft) position.
The switch for the washdown pump should be left in the off position if the washdown system is not going
to be used soon. The round filter attached to the side of the washdown pump should be removed and
cleaned often with running water.

Bilge Pumps

The 24 Walk is equipped with two (2) bilge pumps that are installed as standard equipment. Since there
are 2 pumps, there are 2 bilge pump switches to choose from on the switch panel. The locations of the
bilge pumps and the labeling of the bilge pump switches are as follows:
Bilge Pump - This 1100 gph bilge pump is located in the aft bilge area and can be
accessed via the bilge hatch on the transom.
Fwd Bilge - This 500 gph bilge pump is located in the forward bilge and can be accessed
via the round access pie installed on the aft wall of the cabin.
There are 2 steps in properly checking the bilge pumps. First, turn on one of the bilge pumps at the
instrument panel by pressing the applicable bilge pump switch to the on or forward position. This action
should illuminate the light on the switch. To check and see if the bilge pump is operating, open the hatch
over the applicable bilge pump and listen to hear the bilge pump running.
Second, turn the bilge pump off at the instrument panel and check the bilge pump float switch. Each
pump is equipped with an automatic float switch (white box) that is mounted next to or in close proximity
to the bilge pump. As long as your boat is equipped with an operable battery, each pump will operate
independently when water is present in the area. Each float switch is equipped with two plastic knobs
located on either side of the switch. Turn either one of the knobs to raise the float to engage the bilge
pump. If the pump comes on, the automatic float is operating properly.
check the operation of each automatic float switch monthly.

Fish Boxes with Macerator Pump

Your boat is equipped with port and starboard fish boxes with a
total capacity of 20 gallons. The macerator pump drains the fish
boxes and/or macerates any fish particles. The pump is mounted
to the top of the starboard aft stringer.
As the fish boxes drain, water and/or debris travels to the pump
where any debris is macerated and then pumped overboard.
