4. COPYING BY SPECIFYING THE COPY SIZE

When making copies of originals such as books, newspapers, etc. that cannot be handled by the
RADF or originals such as OHP film, etc. unable to be detected in the automatic paper selection
(APS) mode, copy them by specifying the desired copy size and placing them on the glass.
(Specifying the copy size will automatically clear the APS mode.) For copying those originals in
the reduction or enlargement mode, see "REDUCTION AND ENLARGEMENT COPYING" on
page 38.

Select the copy size.
G Press the desired COPY-SIZE
or use the CASSETTE
Message Display panel to select it.
G You can also press the cassette on the
display to select it.
G The
lamp goes out.

Place the original.
G Lifting the document feeder, place the
original face down on the glass, and align
it with the original scale on the left.
G The three indicators show the area of the
original to be copied.
G Close the automatic document feeder
slowly. Do not push down hard on it when
copying a thick original such as a book,
etc.
