3. USING THE AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT FEEDER

Placing multiple sheet originals on the original feed tray and simply pressing the PRINT key will
feed the originals one by one and copy them automatically(stack-feed mode).Sheet originals can
be fed one by one manually (auto-feed mode).Besides, each side of two-sided originals can be
copied onto different sheets of paper automatically (duplexing mode). Also, in conjunction with
the duplexing function of the automatic duplexer, duplexed copies can be made of single-sided
and two-sided originals.
PRECAUTIONS ABOUT SHEET ORIGINALS

Use originals with a paper weight in the range of 64 g/m

Do not use the following types of originals as they tend to misfeed or become damaged
in the document feeder:
(1) Wrinkled or folded originals
(3) Carbon paper
(5) Taped originals

Folded or curled originals should be
smoothed out before being set on the
document feeder.

Do not mix originals of different widths at the
same time.

If the surface of the originals is so rough that
they cannot be moved when two of them are
pinched between two fingertips, or if the
surface has been processed, these originals
cannot be used .
