8. TRIMMING/MASKING COPYING

By specifying an area(s) on the original, you can "trim-copy" (inside the area) or "mask-copy"
(outside the area) the original by selecting the TRIMMING or MASKING mode. Areas can be
specified by placing the original on the glass or using the optional editing sheet. Up to four areas
can be specified on a single original.
Example of Trimming/Masking Copying
Specifying an Area on the Original

Set the original to specify an area(s).
G To specify an area using the editing sheet (optional) — Open the transparent cover
(editing sheet), insert the original face up and its bottom facing toward you fully in the editing
sheet, and align the original with the matching size marks on the left side.
G To specify an area by setting the original on the glass — Place the original face up with
its bottom facing toward you and align it with the matching size marks on the left side.
