Open the side cover of the copier.
G If the optional large-capacity feeder MP-
1501 is installed:
Holding its handle as shown, lift it to
unlock and open the feeder slowly away
from the copier (arrow).
G If the optional large-capacity feeder MP-
4001 is installed, hold its handle and
move it away from the copier (arrow).

Remove any misfed paper from the
copier.
G If paper is pinched by the upper roller,
remove the paper by turning the jam-
removal knob D in the direction of the
arrow, as shown on page 130, step 3.
G Close the side cover or the large-capacity
feeder slowly.

Close the upper unit slowly.

Close the front cover.
