9. COVER SHEET COPYING

There are four modes in cover sheet copying which adds a top cover and/or back cover to each
set of copies, as listed below:
G Adding a blank top cover
G Adding a copied top cover
G Adding a blank top cover and a blank back cover
G Adding a copied top cover and a blank back cover
To perform "cover-sheet copying", two paper sources of the same size should be available; one
for feeding normal copy paper and the other for special "cover-sheet" paper. However, instead
of the latter cassette, the sheet bypass can conveniently be used.
Besides, the automatic document feeder must be used for this purpose. The use of the optional
sorter MG-2009/2010/2012/2015 will greatly enhance this feature.
Note: If you select COVER SHEET or SHEET INSERTION (page 80) mode and set sheets of
special paper on the sheet bypass, the copier will always feed paper from the sheet bypass even
if a cassette has been designated for that particular mode. However, if both COVER SHEET and
SHEET INSERTION modes are selected together, then the copier will use the designated
cassettes.
