Getting in from the side
1) Place the seat in the horizontal position.
2) Bring the power wheelchair as close as possible to
where the user is sitting.
3) Remove the side panel (see Page 18).
INFORMATION: If the control panel is on the side
from the which the user is getting into the wheel­
chair, the side panel with control panel can also be
removed.
4) Remove the footrest if necessary (see Page 18).
5) Slide into the seat from the side.
INFORMATION: A ramp makes it easier to get into
and out of the wheelchair from the side.
6) Install the side panel (see Page 18).
7) Fasten the lap belt when necessary (e.g., when driving
on the road).

6.4 Control unit

CAUTION
Uncontrolled driving behaviour due to interference
from electromagnetic fields
Risk of falling, tipping, collision with persons or nearby
objects
► Switch all mobile devices off while driving.
► Turn the control unit off when it is not needed.
The power wheelchair is controlled by a VR2 controller.

Since the control unit is programmable, it can be adapted to
the personal requirements of the user; e. g. the speed,
acceleration and deceleration values can all be adapted.
6.4.1 Control Panel
The power wheelchair is operated using the control panel.
Depending on the included power options, one of two differ­
ent control panel versions can be used on the power wheel­
chair.
The control panel is divided into the keypad, two LED dis­
plays and the joystick. The charging and programming
receptacle is located on the underside. The control panel is
used to switch the power wheelchair on and off, enter driv­
ing commands and display the current statuses of certain
functions and components.
