5.47.2 Display Management Parameter

If information about a caller exists in the local phonebook, a display management parameter
can be configured to show this information in addition to the information provided by the
display manager. The additional information is displayed as additional lines of text in the
handset display. The parameter is accessed through the PDM/Device Manager by selecting:
Systems > System X > Display Management and Local Phonebook Name
The parameter can be set to one of the following values:
• Normal: The handset shows only the display management text.
• Add name internal and external call: Additional detail about the caller is displayed if
there is information about the caller in the local phonebook. If there is no entry for the
caller in the phonebook, only the display management text is displayed. This option
applies when both internal and external calls are received.
• Add name external call: Displays additional caller detail as described above, but only
when external calls are received.

5.48 Limit the Handset Output Power

The handset output power can, in certain situations, cause electromagnetic interference to
other sensitive electronic equipment. It may, therefore, be necessary to reduce the handset
output power when it is used around sensitive equipment. The output power can be reduced
by setting the value of the "Reduced power DECT output" parameter in the following way:
1
From the PDM/Device Manager select "Edit parameters"
2
Select Systems > Reduced power DECT output
3
Set the value of the "Reduced power DECT output" parameter to one of the following
values:
• Normal: The output power is not reduced and remains at 250 mW EIRP.
• Low: The DECT output power is limited to 100 mW EIRP.
• Very Low: The DECT output power is limited to 50 mW EIRP
NOTE: Although this procedure can be used to limit the output power to the indicated levels,
the average output power is considerably less. For example, if the "Very Low" option is
selected, although the peak power is limited to 50 mW, the average output power is only 2
mW. This compares to an average output power of 10 mW if the output power is set to
"Normal".
