5.2.3 Connecting Your System to ThinWire Ethernet Cable
To connect a MicroVAX 3100 or VAXserver 3100 system to ThinWire
Ethernet cable:
1.
Set your system unit on/off switch to the off (0) position.
2. Attach Thin Wire cable to one side of the T-connector.
3. If your system is the first or last system in a single Thin Wire segment,
leave the terminator attached to one side of the T-connector.
A segment is a length of cable made up of one or more cable sections
connected with barrel connectors or T-connectors.
4. If your system is not the first or last system and you want to connect
another system to the Thin Wire cable, add another section of cable to
the T-connector as shown in Figure 5-3.

5. Make sure that a T-connector is attached to the back of your system.
Push the T-connector onto the system unit BNC connector and then
turn it clockwise until it locks in place. See Figure 5-4.
