Procedures
* Perform the adjustment in accordance with the procedures below.
* Procedures (1) and (4) are used by the service technician only.
* Procedures (2) and (3) are used by the service technician, and by the user.
(1) Enter adjustment mode [05], select code [878], and press the [START] button.
• Image quality control will be forcibly performed to correct the color balance and density on the copy.
After executing the image quality control, make a copy and check the image quality.
If further image quality adjustments are still necessary, use the next procedure.
(2) Perform automatic calibration (γ adjustment) to correct variations in image density.
• Follow procedures (a) through (d) to perform automatic calibration (γ adjustment).
(a) Select the "PROGRAM" menu from the Control Panel and select "CALIBRATION".
(b) Select "CALIBRATION" and print a test chart.
(c) Place the printed test chart on the glass.
(d) Press the [START] button to perform calibration. When the calibration comes to an end, the
message "Wait Performing Auto Calibration" should disappear.
After executing the automatic calibration (γ adjustment), make a copy and check the image quality.
If further image quality adjustments are still necessary, use the next procedure.
(3) Make the color balance adjustment or RGB adjustment to adjust the colors in general.
• Follow procedures (a) through (d) to make the adjustment.
(a) Select the "COLOR" menu from the Control Panel.
(b) Select "COLOR BALANCE" for adjustment with YMCK, or "RGB ADJUSTMENT" for adjustment
with RGB.
(c) Select a "+" position to enhance the tint of the color, and a "−" position to decrease the tint of the
color.
(d) Press the [SET] button.
After adjusting the colors, make a copy and check the image quality.
If further image quality adjustments are still necessary, use the next procedure.
