3. Printer-specific Adjustments
(4) Perform a printer's automatic gamma adjustment to correct variations in gradation reproducibility.
• Use procedures (a) through (e) to perform the automatic printer gamma adjustment.
(a) Enter adjustment mode [05], select the A3 or LD paper cassette.
(b) Select code [32] (05-32) and press the [PRINTER/NETWORK] button.
* A test chart for creating printer gamma table is printed.
(c) Set the printed test chart on the original glass.
* Align the edge of the test chart at the black stripe side with the original scale with the printed side
faced down.
(d) Select [7] (05-07) and press the [START] button to start the printer's automatic gamma adjustment.
(For about 30 seconds)
(e) When the adjustment completes, "Scan completed" is displayed. Press the [START] button to apply
the adjustment results.
* Press the [STOP] button to cancel.
After the adjustment, use the next procedure.
(5) Perform calibration with the controller to correct variations in image density.
• There are some calibration methods. They should be properly used to meet the level of the desired color
reproducibility.
* For the execution procedures of each calibration, refer to the Color Guide of each printer controller.
