Connecting to the remote operation panel (AK-HRP200G)
You can remote control some functions by connecting the remote operation panel AK-HRP200G (optional) to the camera's <LAN> terminal or
<REMOTE> terminal.
It is necessary to set AK-HRP200G with the ROP setup software included in AK-HRP200G for the IP connection between AK-HRP200G and the <LAN>
terminal of the camera, or for the serial connection with the <REMOTE> terminal of the camera.
For detailed setting procedure, refer to the Operating Instructions of AK-HRP200G.
r When connecting to the <LAN> terminal of the camera
f When you connect AK-HRP200G via wired LAN and perform network settings of the camera and the AK-HRP200G, the camera automatically enters
the remote control mode. For the connection setting, refer to "Setting for connection with remote operation panel (AK-HRP200G)" (page 201).
f The remote control mode is canceled by pressing the <HEAD POWER> switch of AK-HRP200G to terminate the connection while the camera and
AK-HRP200G are connected, or by removing the network cable and changing the <POWER> switch from <OFF> to <ON>.
r When connecting to the <REMOTE> terminal of the camera
f The camera will automatically go into the remote control mode when the serial connection is made between AK-HRP200G in which the serial
connection setting has been made and the camera, and the <POWER> switch of the camera is set to <ON>.
f The remote control mode is canceled with the following methods.
- Disconnect the cable connecting the camera with AK-HRP200G.
- Terminate the connection by pressing the <HEAD POWER> switch of AK-HRP200G while it is still connected.
Switch function in remote control mode
The following switches and buttons on the camera do not function while in the IP connection and the serial connection and in remote control mode.
f <SHUTTER> switch
f <MENU> button
f Jog dial button
f <GAIN> selector switch
f <OUTPUT> switch
f <WHITE BAL> switch
The following buttons on the camera do not function while in the serial connection and in remote control mode.
f <USER MAIN> button
f <USER1> button
f <USER2> button
Recording and playback operations in remote control mode
Playback operation cannot be performed from the remote operation panel AK-HRP200G. You can only perform the operation from the camera.
Recording operations can be performed using the following procedures.
f For normal recording/loop recording/simultaneous recording
Start and stop recording: Press the <VF POWER> and <STORE> buttons simultaneously.
f For interval recording/one-shot recording
Start recording: Press the <VF POWER> and <STORE> buttons simultaneously.
Stop recording: Press the <VF POWER> and <SCENE4> buttons simultaneously.
f For one-clip recording
Start and stop recording: Press the <VF POWER> and <STORE> buttons simultaneously.
