Installing
: Use a drift (2) to drive home the
lock (1).
– Reassemble all other parts in the
reverse sequence.

Cylinder

Before removing the piston, decide
whether or not the crankshaft has to
be removed as well.
Cylinder installed
To remove the flywheel and clutch,
the crankshaft has to be blocked by
inserting the locking strip in the
spark plug hole.
Cylinder removed
To remove the flywheel and clutch,
the crankshaft has to be blocked by
resting the piston on the wooden
assembly block.
– Remove the shroud, b 6.4
– Pull off the boot and unscrew the
spark plug, b 4
– Remove the fan housing, b 8.2
– Remove the filter base, b 12.3
– Remove the carburetor, b 12.5

– Remove the carburetor carrier,

– Remove the air guide shrouds,

– Remove the muffler, b 6.1

– Remove the decompression
valve, b 6.9
– not on machines with ErgoStart.
– Remove the handlebar, b 9.4
– not on machines with heating.
– Remove AV spring from
handlebar, b 9.4
– not on machines with heating.
: Take out the screws (arrows).

: Carefully lift the cylinder (1)
away.

: Remove the cylinder gasket (1).
: Inspect and clean the sealing
face (arrow), b

The sealing face must be in perfect
condition. Always replace
components with damaged sealing
faces, b 3.7.
