Models with handle and
carburetor heating

: Connect the pin (1) and
socket (2).
– Push the insulating tube (3) over
the pin and socket connector –
turn it back and forth if necessary.
: Fit the wire (1) in the
guides (arrows).
: Push the carburetor (2) fully
home as far as stop.

: Push the insulating tube (1) and
connector into the guide so that it
butts against the web (arrow).

: Fit the heating element (1).

– The wiring harness (2) must be
properly seated in the
guide (arrow) – press it firmly
home if necessary.
Models with manual fuel pump
: Push the new fuel hose (1) onto
the nipples (arrows).
All models
– Install the filter base, b
– Install the air filter, b 12.1
– Check operation
– Reassemble all other parts in the
reverse sequence.

12.5.1 Leakage Test

In the case of problems with the
carburetor or fuel supply system,
also check and clean or replace the
tank vent, b 12.10
The carburetor can be tested for
leaks with the pump
0000 850 1300.
– Remove the carburetor, b 12.5
: Push the fuel hose (1)
