9-10 Upgrading Your Server
3.5-inch Hard Disk Drive (3.5-inch Disk Model)
The hard disk drive bay may contain up to four hard disk drives.
IMPORTANT:
Use the hard disk drives authorized by NEC. Installing a third-party
hard disk drive may cause a failure of the server as well as the hard
disk drive. Purchase hard disk drives of the following models:
– N8150-208A (160GB, 7,200 rpm, SATA2/300)
– N8150-209A (250GB, 7,200 rpm, SATA2/300)
– N8150-229/274 (500GB, 7,200 rpm, SATA2/300)
– N8150-237/275 (750GB, 7,200 rpm, SATA2/300)
– N8150-263 (1TB, 7,200 rpm, SATA2/300)
– N8150-200 (73.2GB, 15000 rpm, SAS)
– N8150-201/287 (146.5GB, 15000 rpm, SAS)
– N8150-226/288 (300GB, 15000 rpm, SAS)
– N8150-245 (450GB, 15000 rpm, SAS)
Note: The SAS drive cannot coexist with SATA drive in the specific
HDD cage.
To use RAID 5, RAID 6, or RAID 10 with Internal RAID Controller
(equivalent to N8103-116A), you need to additionally install the
optional N8103-119 RAID Upgrade Kit.
