Remote Battery Holder (Optional for
X9DRFF-7)
A remote battery holder header is located
at JFLED1 on the X9DRFF-7. When
enabled, this unit provides extended
battery backup support for onboard SAS
to prevent data loss due to a battery
power shortage. To enable extended
battery support, an optional battery
backup accessory kit is required. Please
contact our sales at Supermicro to
purchase an LSI 2308 SAS Battery
Backup Accessory kit. Also, contact our
tech support for installation instructions
and possible component updates.
Internal Speaker
The Internal Speaker, located at SP1, can
be used to provide audible indications
for various beep codes. See the table
on the right for pin defi nitions. Refer to
the layout below for the locations of the
Internal Buzzer (SP1).
