Note 1: For the memory modules to work properly, please install DIMM modules
of the same type, same speed and same operating frequency on the motherboard.
Mixing of RDIMMs, UDIMMs or LRDIMMs is not allowed. Do not install both ECC
and Non-ECC memory modules on the same motherboard.
Note 2: Using DDR3 DIMMs with different operating frequencies is not allowed. All
channels in a system will run at the lowest common frequency.

Adding PCI Expansion Cards

The F617R2-FT/F73 includes one preinstalled riser cards designed specifi cally for
use in the SCF418IL-R1K62B 4U rackmount chassis. These riser cards support one
low-profi le PCI Express x16 cards to fi t inside the chassis for each node.
Installing an Expansion Card
1. After powering down the system, remove the PCI slot shield.
2. Fully seat the card into the slot, pushing down with your thumbs evenly on
both sides of the card.
3. Finish by using a screw to secure the top of the card shield to the chassis.
The PCI slot shield protects the motherboard and its components from EMI
and aid in proper ventilation, so make sure it is always in place.
