    Chassis Manual Control Panel Buttons There are two push-buttons located on the front of the chassis. These are (in order from left to right) a reset button and a power on/off button. Reset: The reset button is used to reboot the system. Power: The main power switch is used to apply or remove power from the power supply to the server system.

These fans circulate air through the chassis as a means of lowering the chassis' internal temperature. In models with counter-rotating fans, each fan unit is actually made up of two fans joined back-to-back, which rotate in opposite directions.

    If the power supply unit fails, the system will shut down and you will need to replace the unit. Replacement units can be ordered directly from Supermicro (see contact information in the Preface). As there is only one power supply unit in the SC815 Chassis, power must be completely removed from the server before removing and replacing the power supply unit for whatever reason.
