3,Mechanism Adjustments
Adjusting cut scrap length and print position
※These adjustments are made to compensate for mechanical deviances (cutter, sensor).
① Run OP2-Tools.
② Under the "Option" menu, click on "Mechanism Adjustment".
※Before starting adjustments, set the cutting position and print position values at 0.0 ㎜.
Procedure 1. Measure the cut scrap, and adjust the cut position.
Either through initialize, or printing one image, make sure that the end of the paper is parallel with
the cutter.
Print 1 all-gray image. Then measure the cut scrap from this print.
Print result
First cut scrap is
shorter than 5.5 mm
First cut scrap is
longer than 5.5 mm
Example:
5.5 ㎜ →Adjust 0.0mm
5.0 ㎜ →Adjust+0.5mm
6.0 ㎜ →Adjust-0.5mm
③ Enter the value, and click the "Setup" button. The setting will be written to the printer.
Reason
Distance from sensor to cutter is
greater than the ideal value
Distance from sensor to cutter is
less than the ideal value
Set the Cutting position adjustment
adding the amount short
Set the Cutting position adjustment
subtracting the amount long
