13.4 Wet-cleaning the boiler

When wet cleaning, pick the cleaning agent based on the
degree of contamination (encrustations or soot).
Proceed in the same sequence as if cleaning with
cleaning brushes ( see Chapter 13.3, page 47).
Follow the operating instructions of the
cleaning agent and the cleaning brushes!
Under some circumstances, it may be
necessary to deviate from the procedure
described here.
B Cover the control panel with plastic to prevent spray
from entering the control panel.
B Spray cleaning agent evenly into the heat exchanger
flue gas passages.
B Close burner door and start up the heating system.
B Heat the boiler water temperature to at least 158 °F
(70 °C).
B Shut down the boiler.
B Allow boiler to cool down, then open burner door.
B Brush out the heat exchanger heater.
