Reception Console

The Receptionist Console is a software based platform that allows your receptionist or office manager
to manage calls with ease . This is an additional service that is provided in conjunction with Business
VoiceEdge . This section includes information to get started with the Reception Console tool . For more detailed
information, please also download the Reception Console user guide at business.comcast.com/getstarted .

Launching Reception Console for the First Time

The Reception Console is launched directly from the portal; therefore, there is no need to distribute the
application for installation on end-users' PC . When initially launched, a desktop icon as pictured below, is
created for convenient access to the application .
1 . Log in to the portal account associated with the Reception Console software . Typically, this is the account
of the main line or reception end user, and you will use the same user credentials provided in the Welcome
Letter for that user .
2 . From the launch drop-down list at the top right of the portal logo pane, select the Receptionist Enterprise
link .
Reception Console will start and you are automatically logged in .

Accessing Reception Console via Desktop Icon

After the initial launch, you will have a Reception Console icon on your desktop . You can access the Reception
Console by double-clicking the shortcut on your desktop or by selecting it from the Start menu .
1 . Click the Reception Console shortcut . Reception Console starts and you are presented with the following
login interface:
2 . Enter your user name and password .
Note:
You can also select the Remember Me (or Forget Me) and the Remember my Password options so that your user name and
password are remembered on your computer, and therefore you will be auto-logged in .
3 . Click "Sign In" .
