Refers to either the upright or italic character style in a
specific font family. Roman is upright, italic is slanted.
A descriptive name or brand name that identifies a
particular design of type. Examples are Courier,
Helvetica, and Swiss. Also called type family.

Universal Product Code
Abbreviation for User-defined Set. An IGP command that
creates custom character sets (except OCR fonts) from
existing characters stored in memory.
Abbreviation for vertical format unit.
An almost complete reset of the printer:
a.
Data are cleared from all buffers.
b.
All internal system variables are reset to
default (host set).
c.
Selected power-up configuration is loaded.

To store data to memory (RAM) or to mass storage (hard
disk, floppy diskette, etc.).
