Use the following table to set text events.

On the Enter Trigger Text – Port 1 screen, set the text that will be used by the HRDVS
to determine if a text event has occurred.
Description
Enable or disable each virtual Text Insertion port (1 to 4).
Specify the number of fields per second that should be
recorded by each camera.
If you want multiple cameras to record for a single event,
the number of fps that you set is divided across all
cameras.
Assign a title to each event. This text is used when you
create a report (see
Creating a
events (see
Reviewing
Events, page 91).
Set how the system responds to an event type. Options
are:
Auto. Event inputs automatically reset immediately after
the event.
Timed. Event inputs reset after the time specified in the
Reset Time field.
The time the system waits before it resets the event inputs
after a text event is detected. The Reset Type field must
first be set to Timed.
Enable or disable whether the HRDVS records audio.
Enable or disable whether the HRDVS beeps when it
detects a text event.
Enable or disable whether the HRDVS triggers an alarm
output contact to activate a device you have connected to
the alarm output contact, such as an external light or both.
Enable text event recording for up to 16 cameras
(depending on your HRDVS model).
Opens the Enter Trigger Text – Ports 1 screen.
