Description
If you plan to use an Ethernet PC card to connect your HRDVS to a network, you may
also have to enter a Subnet Mask address and a Gateway address. Contact your
Network Administrator to find out if your network uses these addresses. If it does you
must enter the address numbers used.
If your HRDVS unit will be connected to a network that does not use these address,
or if it will not be connected to a network, leave the Subnet Mask and Gateway
addresses set to their default values.
Always program a gateway address for best operation. Contact your network
administrator for this information.

When you are satisfied with your settings, select Accept, then Enter to confirm your
changes and exit this screen.
If you selected the Serial method of connecting (EIA-232), you will see the message
Warning! Using Serial (EIA-232) disables Text Insertion. PROCEED?
This message is to remind you that the serial access port can be used for either connecting
DB-9P ASCII inputs (for example, cash registers, ATM machines, a door card reader access
system, and so on) or for remote access, but not both.
If you changed the IP address, you will see the following warning.
4.
You must reboot for the IP address change to take effect.
