Setting Text Events

Description
Options are:
None. Select this option when the HRDVS unit is connected directly to an ATM text
port.
MPT400/N. If you select this option when your HRDVS system is combined with an
MPT400/N four-port Protocol Translator, the Trigger Text Strings screen will be
disabled. The unit will set itself to detect the specific trigger strings of Port 1/Port
2/Port 3/Port 4 for each of the four Text Event screens.

When you are satisfied with your changes, select Accept, then press Enter.
Use the Text Events screen to configure transaction text events. Text events may come from
cash registers, ATM machines, a door car reader access system, or any other source that
outputs asynchronous EIA-232 data that is line terminated (carriage return or line feed) with
ASCII format data.

Before the system can detect a text event, you must first set up the Text
Insertion port (see
To set up text events:
1.
Set up the Text Insertion ports to handle text inputs (see
71).
2.
Map the camera input to the input port on the Camera Setup screen (see
the Video Inputs
on page 20).
3.
Configure how the HRDVS responds to text events:
