Direction of paper grain
• Select [Paper Weight 5], [Paper Weight 6], or [Paper Weight 7] as the paper thickness for the tray
in [Tray Paper Settings].
• Even if thick paper is loaded as described above, normal operations and print quality might still not
be possible, depending on the paper type.
• Prints might have prominent vertical creases.
• Prints might be noticeably curled. Flatten out prints if they are creased or curled. For details about
settings for flattening out curled paper, see "Adjustment Settings for Operators", Paper Settings
Envelopes
This section describes loading envelopes.
• Misfeeds might occur depending on the length and shape of the flaps.
• Only envelopes that are at least 139.7 mm (5.5 inches) wide can be loaded.
To print on envelopes, load them into the Wide LCT or multi bypass tray (Tray 7), and be sure to specify
an appropriate paper type.
To load envelopes, be sure to unfold their flaps and set them in the
