Removing the System Unit Cover

Remove the system unit cover by following these steps:
1.
Turn off and unplug the system unit.
2.
Disconnect the keyboard, mouse, monitor, and any other device (such as a
printer) connected to the back of the system.
3.
If a cover lock is being used, unlock it and remove it from the system unit.
4.
Loosen the two cover thumb screws on the back of the system unit (see
Figure 3-2).
WARNING: Before removing the system unit
cover, turn off the power and unplug the system
power cable. Power is removed only when the
power cable is unplugged.
CAUTION: Electrostatic discharge can damage
computer components. Discharge static
electricity by touching a metal object before you
remove the system unit cover.
