2. Verify that the phone screen indicates "Handshake Complete", and then displays a
request to confirm 'Is this correct Customer Information'?
3. Click Yes.The phone screen displays the instruction "Please Start Installing Phones".
Installing Additional Phones
Once the handshake is complete and you have confirmed the customer information, plug in
all additional phones and allow them to complete their boot process.
Within a few minutes all remaining phones will complete their installation. As the phones are
booting up and installing, the handshake phone will display the image at the right. Icons in
the image display as follows to indicate each step in the verification process including the
image download, the IP address, and the configuration file transfer.
• The hourglass display indicates that the phone is searching for its basic info to
operate: its IP address and the phone's image from the SVR3000 Image server. This
is accomplished using disk icons and file icons on the phone's color movie screen.
• The phone icon indicates that a phone image has successfully loaded.
• The arrow icon indicates that DNS/DHCP was successful.
• The disk icon indicates that image file is loading.
Completing the Installation
After all phones are installed, return to the Handshake phone (first installed phone), navigate
to Exit and select Submit.
Verify that the first phone (handshake phone) reboots and then (after a minute or so)
displays the phone idle screen (see screen at right).
Verifying Installation
1. Verify that the date, time, and phone extension are displayed across the top of each
phone screen, and the Calls and Tasks softkeys are displayed along the bottom of each
phone screen.
2. On each phone, press an intercom line button and verify there is dial tone.
3. On each phone, press an outside line button and verify there is dial tone.
