IMPORTANT: You should only reset the
system to the factory defaults if the
Services Router will not boot. If you only
need to reset your Services Router and
force the system to perform the
handshake again, you do not need to
reset the Services Router to the factory
defaults. Instead, press the RESET button
for 5-10 seconds to reset the system.
IMPORTANT: If you reset the Services
Router to the factory defaults, you will
need to reconfigure all customized
settings in the Administration Editor or
restore a previously backed-up version
of the database. See "Restoring the CPE
database" on the previous page.
To reset the Services Router to the factory defaults:
1. Verify that the Services Router WAN W1 port is connected to the Internet.
2. Disconnect all phones, voice gateways, and the USB memory key from the Services
Router.
3. Using a paper clip, press in the RESET button on the Services Router front panel for 15
seconds.
4. When the SYSTEM LED is solid red, cycle power on the Services Router (unplug the
power cord and then plug it back in again).
5. Wait until the SYSTEM LED on the Services Router is in a solid green state before
reconnecting any devices. Note that you will need to reinitiate the handshake.
