• Dialing Plan Digits—This field provides options for selecting the number of digits
used when dialing. Options vary, depending on the dial plan for the Service Node
that hosts the customer's account. Customers using the North American Dial Plan can
select 7, 10, or 7 + 10 (7 and10 digit dialing).
• Area Code—For North American Dial Plan customers, if 7-digit dialing or 7- and
10-digit dialing is selected, this field is used to specify the 3-digit area code to be
used in conjunction with 7-digit dialing.
Options that apply to dial plans for other countries can also appear in this section.
8. The Number Allocation section should only be completed if the customer will be routing
external calls through their Linksys One HSP and will need E.164 phone numbers.
Skip this section if the customer will be routing external calls through the PSTN.
• Under Number Allocation, choose phone numbers for your customer's site.
• Click Show Numbers to display the list of available phone numbers.
• Enter an area code or an area code plus an exchange to display only phone
numbers in that area code and/or exchange.
• To select a number, highlight the number in the Available Numbers list and use the
>> arrow button to move it to the Chosen Numbers list. Only one number at a time
can be selected.
• To remove a number from the Chosen Numbers list, highlight it and click the <<
arrow button.
• Continue adding numbers until you have all the numbers you need, up to a
maximum of 14 numbers. You must choose at least one phone number.
Consider the available WAN upload bandwidth when determining the number of
lines to add. For calls routed through the Internet, the available upload bandwidth
determines the maximum number of simultaneous calls a site can support. If the total
amount of bandwidth used for ITSP calls exceeds the total available upload
bandwidth, voice quality is degraded for all calls.
