Private Use this pool to make an external phone line
available to only one phone. Incoming calls
to a Private pool ring only on the phone
assigned to the pool.
Default Use this pool to make all external lines
available to all phones in the system.
Incoming calls to the Default pool ring all
phones assigned to the pool. Initially, all lines
are placed in the Default pool.
Unassigned Use this pool for unused external lines.
Incoming calls to an Unassigned pool do not
ring on any phone and are automatically
forwarded to the Auto Attendant.
Assigning a Line to a Pool
Initially, all lines are placed in the Default pool as shared lines. The Private and Unassigned
pools are empty. You can create new pools, custom pools or reassign lines among the
Default, Private and Unassigned pools.
1. Choose Line Assignments in the Actions Index window or on the Phone tab.
2. Click Edit.
3. In the Add Lines to Pool area in the window, click once on the line number you want to
move to a different pool.
4. Click in the white bar that corresponds to the pool to where you want to add the line. The
line moves to that pool.
5. Set the hunt order. See "Setting the Hunt Order"
6. Click Commit.
