About Intercoms...
As phones are installed, each phone
automatically gets assigned a directory
number (e.g., phone extension) in sequential
order in the range 210-290. In addition to a
main extension number, each phone is
assigned three "intercoms." Intercoms allow a
user to handle multiple internal calls
simultaneously. They are accessible from the
top left buttons on the keypad.
If a user places or receives a call on an
intercom, the call rings on the first available
intercom for the called extension. If there are
call forward settings configured, the call
follows those settings (send to voice mail,
send to Auto Attendant, send to a different
extension, etc.).
The number of intercoms allowed for a user
determines the maximum number of
simultaneous internal calls that user can
handle on their extension before it is
considered busy.
