1. Begin with the recorder stopped.
2. Press the SETUP button until the BNX3's main display reads
selected recording quality of the current song. Default from the factory is CD.
3. Use the DATA WHEEL to select which recording quality you want to use for a song.
4.When finished, press EXIT .
NOTE: Once the recording quality is set and a track is recorded, the recording quality
cannot be changed unless all tracks or the entire song is deleted.
Card>PC - Preparing a Card for the Computer
The BNX3's recorder uses a proprietary format when recording audio to an external memory card. In
order to access tracks created using the BNX3's recorder on a computer, it is necessary to save these
files in a format that can be read by an external card reader connected to a PC. Here are the steps for
preparing the card for this purpose:
1. Once recording is complete, press the SETUP button until the BNX3's main display reads
This is the card preparation menu. The RECORD button will begin flashing at this time.
2. To begin the preparation procedure, press the RECORD button. The BNX3's main display reads
BUSY
as the card is being checked. The TIME display on the recorder panel will begin counting
backwards from 100 indicating the procedure's progress. The BNX3's buttons and footswitches are
disabled during this procedure and the outputs will be muted.
3. When the procedure is complete, the TIME display reads 0. The BNX3's main display then reads
READY
REMOVE

The card should be removed from the BNX3 and inserted into a card reader connected to a PC, and the
BNX3's recorder data is then accessible.
WARNING: If any recorded material or Setup utilities are added, deleted, or modified on
the external memory card, the

Int>Card - Copying Songs to External Memory
This function is used to copy songs stored in the BNX3's internal memory to a SmartMedia™ Card. The

copy to a 16, 32, 64, or 128 Megabyte SmartMedia Card. However, any songs that are on the card will be
erased during the copy procedure. Be sure to back up your songs before performing this copy function.
