Effects and Parameters

The BNX3 can be thought of as several different "virtual" amplifiers, and individual, hi-tech stomp boxes.
With stomp boxes, the order in which they are connected can make a big difference in how good the overall
sound is. Whether the stomp boxes are placed before the amp, or in the amp's effects loop will also make a
difference. The following diagram shows the signal path through the processing contained in the BNX3.

Effect Definitions

Each Effect within the BNX3 is fully programmable. Understanding how these effects alter the sound, and
how each parameter alters the effect will help you achieve the sound you are looking for. The following
overview outlines how each effect and parameter in the BNX3 alters the sound.

Compressor/Fretless

The Compressor/Fretless module is a dual-purpose effect. You can select either the compressor or
fretless simulator for your preset's application. The BNX3's compressor is a true dual-band compressor
complete with an adjustable crossover frequency. You can use it for either mildly compressing the lows
and highs independently or as a radical tone shaping tool.
The fretless simulator creates a fretless bass sound when using a fretted bass.
