Introduction

The Rear Panel

1. Mic/XLR Input
This XLR jack connects a low impedance dynamic mic to the BNX3 that can be used for recording
vocals or an acoustic instrument into the BNX3's Recorder. A mic with a cardioid pattern is
recommended. Use this input with the instrument Input for a stereo source recording.
2. Mic Level
Controls the gain of the mic input preamp when the mic input gain is set correctly. The CLIP LED
next to the DATA WHEEL should only flash occasionally with peak signals.
3. Input Jack
Connect your instrument to this jack.
4. Jam-A-Long/CD In Jack
Connect a 1/8" stereo plug between this jack and the output of a tape or CD player. This lets you
play along with the music, or record a musical passage.
5. Headphone Output
Connect stereo headphones to this jack. Do not connect a mono plug to this jack, because you may
damage the output driver.
6. Left Output/Low Output/Bass Mono Output
Connect to the input of an amplifier, input of a power amp, or line input of a mixing console. See
page 66 for more on Analog Output Configurations.
7. Right Output/High Output/ Recorder Mono Output
Use this jack in conjunction with the Left Output for stereo applications. Connect to the input of a
second amplifier, right input of a stereo power amp, or mixing console. See page 66 for more on
Analog Output Configurations.
8. Output Level
Controls the overall volume level of the BNX3's 1/4" analog and headphone outputs.
9. Power Switch
Turns the power on and off.
10. Power Input
Connect only the provided DigiTech PSS3 power supply to this jack.
11. Footswitch
Connect a GNXFC footswitch to this jack. Use a 1/4" TRS cable only.
