Configuring a Windows NT 4.0 Computer

Follow the procedure below to configure a Windows NT 4.0 computer to use
NetBEUI.
A
Open [Control Panel], and then double-click the Network icon. Make sure
[NetBEUI Protocol] is listed in the [Network Protocols] box on the [Protocols] tab.

❒ If NetBEUI is not installed, click [Add...] on the [Protocols] tab to install it.

Change the Lana Number. Click the [Services] tab, click [NetBIOS Interface] in
the [Network Services] box, and then click [Properties...].

Click the Lana Number corresponding to the Nbf protocol in the [Network
Route] column, and then click [Edit].

Enter "0" as the Lana Number.
Note
❒ If the other protocol's Lana Number is "0", you must change the Lana
Number to a number other than "0".

Click [OK].
F
Click [Close] to close the [Network] dialog box.
The confirmation message about restarting appears.

Click [Yes].
Note
❒ After you change the Lana Number, you must restart the computer.
