Battery Removal

Remove the battery per and the following steps.
1. Remove the top cover and 3 1/2-inch drive bracket as previously described.
Locate the battery socket on the system board shown in Figure Section 5-27.

Lift the battery spring clip securing the battery in (see Figure Section 5-29).

4. After installing a new battery, the time, date, etc. may need to be reset. Run the
Setup utility program that came with the system (see Section 2).
CAUTION: When replacing the battery be sure
to insert the battery so that the positive side is
facing up.
