Turning off the alarm

When you are using the UPS module, an alarm sounds when a BayStack 10 PSU
has an error condition, as listed in the table in Chapter 1. Read the LED to
determine which error code is displayed, and refer to the table to identify the
specific error.
To turn the alarm off:

Initialization process

The BayStack 10 PSU completes a self-test when it is powered on, with either the
RPS SNMP controller module or the UPS module installed.

RPS controller module

When the RPS SNMP controller module is installed in the BayStack 10 PSU, you
power on the unit only by plugging in the AC power to the standard outlet; there
are no on or off buttons or switches in this configuration.
When you connect the power cord to the standard outlet, all the LEDs on the front
of the controller module light for about 15 seconds while the system performs a
self-test. When the self-test is successfully completed, 000 appears in the error
code box and the LEDs light appropriately. (For information about the LEDs,
