The BayStack 10 PSU starts automatically in the following situations:

Turning off the power

Always turn the power off to the BayStack 10 PSU before you remove the
controller module, disconnect the power cable, remove the unit from a rack, or
transport the chassis.

Manually turning off the power

To manually turn the power off to the BayStack 10 PSU with UPS modules:
In an emergency, remove the BayStack 10 PSU power cable from the AC outlet
and remove the IEC-to-IEC connector cables attached to the devices.
When AC power returns following a power failure and you are using either a
UPS module or an RPS SNMP controller module.
When you are using the UPS module, after an overload that temporarily turns
the power off to the unit. In this case, the UPS operation starts automatically
once the overload is resolved.
Note: If you have an RPS-only module, turn off the power by
disconnecting the power cord from the standard AC outlet.
Simultaneously press the On and Off buttons on the front panel of the UPS
module for a minimum of 3 seconds.
Warning: You must press the On and Off buttons simultaneously for at
least 3 seconds to manually turn off the BayStack 10 PSU with the UPS
module installed.
Danger: Risk of electric shock. Hazardous live parts inside this unit are
energized from the battery supply even when the input AC power is
disconnected
.
