Chassis

The BayStack 10 PSU is three EIA standard rack units in height and contains
compartments that house the RPS and/or UPS components .
The chassis is shipped without components installed. Prior to shipping, metal
plates cover the empty RPS sections of the chassis. The plates protect you from
injury and protect the internal wiring of the chassis. These plates also ensure
proper cooling of the chassis. You must keep the plates attached to the chassis
unless you install the appropriate modules into each section. Four plates cover the
power supply module slots on the rear of the chassis. A plate covers the front left
side of the chassis, where you can install the UPS battery pack. The front right
side of the chassis is open. You must install either the controller module or UPS
prior to operating your BayStack 10 PSU.
Software built into the BayStack 10 PSU controller module uses the Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP) standard to manage and provide
performance information about the unit. The UPS provides similar
SNMP-generated features, in addition to its power supply functions. Refer to

The LEDs on the front panel provide information about the RPS and UPS

Figure 2 displays the front panel with an RPS controller module
configuration. The controller module has LED indicators for fans, RPS, and
