Power supply module slots
Four slots in the rear of the BayStack 10 PSU are provided for the power supply
modules. You can install any of the modules in any of these slots. The BayStack
10 PSU is shipped with a plate covering each module slot.

Console port
You can connect a standard serial cable from a PC workstation to the RS-232
console port on the rear panel of the BayStack 10 PSU. Use this port to assign or
change IP addresses and configure available management parameters. Refer to
Chapter 3, "Managing the BayStack 10 PSU," on page 59

Ethernet port
You can connect a 10BASE-T Ethernet shielded cable (included) from a PC
workstation to the RJ-45 Ethernet port on the rear panel of the BayStack 10 PSU.

Warning: Do not insert your hands into the empty slots. Shock or other
serious injury could result.
Caution: If you do not install modules in all of the four slots you must
keep the cover plates attached as shipped, to cover the empty slots. If all
four slots are not covered, proper airflow inside the chassis will not be
possible and the unit may be damaged.
