220/440v Operation

NoTICE
The Model g0451 is prewired for 220v oper-
ation. if you plan to use your machine at
440v, you MuST have a qualified electrican
perform the 440v conversion described on
page 17.

power Supply circuit requirements
you Must connect your machine to a grounded
circuit that is rated for the amperage given below.
never replace a circuit breaker on an existing cir-
cuit with one of higher amperage without consult-
ing a qualified electrician to ensure compliance
with wiring codes. if you are unsure about the
wiring codes in your area or you plan to con-
nect your machine to a shared circuit, consult
a qualified electrician.
Minimum Circuit size (220v) ................. 40 Amps

Minimum cord requirements
due to the high voltage and high amperage of
this machine, an electrician Must hardwire the
machine. tthe electrician who hardwires the
machine will determine the appropriate wire to
use inside the conduit.

power connection device
the power connection device depends on the
type of installed or planned service. We recom-
mend using the device shown in figure 8.

phase converter precaution
the power from the manufactured leg may dam-
age electrical components if connected to the
wrong incoming power terminal on your machine.
only connect the manufactured leg to the l3 ter-
minal (see page for identification).
